Finally, a way to keep notes without getting insane.

I’m not insane, but my brain is certainly not organized in that tree structure that computers wants me to be. Instead I’m into tagging in (for external minds) ridiculous strange ways and links content that only I can see a relation between in mysterious paths that seemed right at least at the very moment the [...]

Hi, my name is Joachim and I’m a utility junkie

I admitt, I love utilities on my OS. I’m using or have used all there is, from GUI enhancer, desktop indexing, file managers via screen captures, clipboard manager and virtual desktops. Not seldom am I mixing different drugs utilites to maximize the effect the tools gives me.

Firefox extensions as of June 2006

Now when Tomas at Notessidan(swedish) helped me with a way to get the firefox extensions in a copy’paste-able format I feel I just have to share this wisdom with everyone. Here’s the outcome of the InfoLister extension:

A great tool named launchy!

A great must-have tool I started to use last week:
Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager.
Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few [...]

Edit Document Fields 5.1.1

Chad Smiley has an entry from last month on his blog announcing a new version of this Edit Document Fields util. I guess all developers has created similar things, or atleast on-time agents that updates fields etc, I know that I have - not only once but probably ten or hundred times. None as complex [...]

DocumentViewer - small utility to ease up development and debugging

In Tomas Adrians blog entry about using the DocumentViewer instead of Document Properties (In swedish) I found a really nice little openNTF-thingie.
A small smarticon that copies current document into an database and then displays the document with a customized form showing all fields in a very human readable format. Will save me a few seconds [...]
