It's very easy, maybe too easy, to take points on Budweiser rumors. But to be honest, the most thrilling and funny new beers that shows up today are just micro breweries in America.

You guys must agree that selling out Budweiser is as bad for the whole stand-up comedy scene as it was when redsock won the world series...

Writing from the U.S. as a former beer drinker, most U.S. packs as much punch as a bottle of Perrier - which is what I drink now - saves money and I never need a designated driver. Not a bit of discernable difference in taste between that and Bud Light ... not to me anyway. I'm sure others will differ.

Anyway, no small amount of consternation here over the acquisition of an American Icon. It may surprise you to know, ye fellows across the pond, the AB bought up several local micro breweries in the past few decades and left the brands completely unchanged. So while the prime sellers may be watery swill, the niche brands are among some of the best in America, so don't be too aloof. ;-)

Don't mock !
Being from Belgium myself, I can guarantee that there is a lot more extremely good Belgian beer, that is NOT in the hands of InBev !
But indeed the average InBev beer quality has gone down dramatically with this acquisition ;-)

LOL! Nice comment. InBev makes a few of my favourites, including Franzikanner and Bass. But as for the Anheuser-Busch brands? No thanks.

BTW - InBev's website is already showing the Anheuser-Busch brands in their portfolio:
