Google Reader - Share with comments

I read all my RSS subscriptions with Google Reader, it’s fast and easy. They implemented a feature called share or sharing which allows me to share a post that I find interesting with my friends that also uses Google Reader. It’s even possible to share a post and add meta data to the note, called share with note. Usually these notes is like “OMG!” or “This is soo cool!”.

The whole blogosphere is built around blogs, RSS-feeds and ping-backs. People comment on posts by putting a post on their own blog and a pink-back is sent to the original post which then shows up as a comment.

Unfortunately there won’t be a ping-back to the original post when someone is sharing the post via Google Reader. This is a big drawback for the blogosphere and we should definitely try to make Google understand this misbehaviour and do something about it!
