WOMM – a new era?

Word of mouth marketing – when a rumour is better than TV-commercials…
Earlier this week I wrote about search engines and some strange clothes that will hide your cell’s screen when needed. Both those writings were ‘planted’ by http://www.payperpost.com. According to the deal I will get a handful dollar for the articles and as long as I keep this blog in to the techie genre those kind of articles will be an extremely rare thing on this blog.

My opinion about this thing is very liberal. I don’t think this is worse than any other marketing activity. Companies and producers has always given products to persons that might have a large impact on other. Just see the clothes industry and how they provide shirts for free to our celebrities.

http://www.payperpost.com is just bringing this opportunity to a larger base for a lower rate. I have no problems at all with that. At least not as long the advertisers don’t force the publishers (bloggers) to write in a special mood about the product. Just as reviewers on news-papers, they are getting paid to write about something, but the deal doesn’t tell them what to think.

Today the rate for a published post is somewhere between 2 and 10 dollars. I think that’s rather expensive especially since the price is in no way relative to number of impressions. So, I wouldn’t buy stocks in payperpost.com until the business model are more proved.
