There are ways to describe the Web2.0 thing, David knows.
A couple of months ago I was speaker on an event we had for our valuable customers. I was part of the R&D section and my speach was mainly on what trends and technologies we see now and the next 12-18 months. Mainly things we think we will deliver to the listeners within an 18 months period. Ofcourse I was talking about both internal, external and corporate blogging and the wiki thing. (a wiki is hard to explain, really)
I was ofcourse spending some minutes on the web 2.0 thing that’s been so ‘hyped’ this year, I really tried to not get to technical and fall directly in the trap where web2.0 equals Ajax. I did not want web 2.0 to be the semantic web and certainly not ‘cool type-ahead features’.
I think I failed miserably. But David Boloker at IBM with some help from journalist Ulrika Hedquist has put the whole web 2.0 idea into print very decently. Go ahead and read the Web 2.0 is hot — both today and tomorrow article from Computerworld in NZ to read more on what I tried to say. :-)
