Reduce Memory Usage In Firefox

Ionut Alex over att Google Operating System has a very good article on the memory issue with firefox. Google Operating System: Reduce Memory Usage In Firefox

* set the disk cache memory to a low value (less than 50 MB)

* turn off Java

* try to avoid these extensions: Adblock, Fasterfox, IE Tab, Session Saver. Use Adblock Plus instead of Adblock.

* don’t use more than 5 extensions

I haven’t tried these ideas myself, yet, but they do sound reasonable, don’t they. I just wonder how I’ll coop with just five extensions…
