SketchUp is free for personal use

I wrote that Google bought Sketchup some weeks ago and wondered what this will do with the product. The first thing they did was putting the rather expensive product free. Atleast for personal use.

Notessidan - writes in Swedish about renewing the [tag]icons[/tag] used in your Notes applications. It’s a good idea and I would like to show the cool [tag]CSS[/tag] approach sanscons are doing with their icons, now it’s a piece of cake changing theme and colorscheme on a web site.

DomBuilder - the final innerHTML killer?

We are not supposed to use the innerHTML fuction because it’s non-standard. (Why we may use xmlHttpRequest object is ofcourse because it’s soo web 2.0 :-D ). However, doing proper DOM-scripting is a true pain in the as. Those long listings of document.createElement and .add is stupid and falling back to the inlineHTML is natural.

Getting time and date in a userfriendly way.

On all sort-by-modified view it’s common to display when the document was modified. This sometimes looks like this:

However, the only time the user can be interested of the timestamp must be if the document is modified today, or perhaps yesterday, [...]
